Last assignment and ramblings

Surrealist image... I believe the young boy makes it. The concept... the idea it was mainly play. Art is play, a method of relaxation. I loved the posing, the body composition if you will.

I call it High School Ocean

yeah I like the sound of that

I must give credit where credit is due, this is a photo manipulation with 4 photos... it seems I have forgotten where I gathered the hallway from.

now to think about popular culture and squares

In the Swing of Things

It is officially the first week of school... and I am actually working more and slacking less. It's a good thing. The first assignment is at least half done and I like the idea... I still want to go portfolio though which means I need a higher output then what I'm currently doing. I also still need an idea for 20 portfolio pieces.

side note EKP did some fun things today

Oh motivation where art thou?

Yet another semester has begun and it proves to be quite promising if I can deliver. Therein lays the problem. I currently lack the drive, the full focus. I miss the classes where I had to fill a sketch book or take a roll of film a week. Now it did not feel like work, but I knew it was something I had to do for a grade. They were assignments I enjoyed doing, but they also should not have been assignments. It should have just been something I did. I have all the materials, but lack that drive. That is what I'm going to work on this semester... getting that little push. Trying to get my assignments to go above and beyond. Now I just need ideas for what I want in my portfolio.

Now most of what you read here will just be ramblings... no real well thought out thoughts or ideas that have been previously rehearsed and set to paper. Spelling and grammar will probably be an issue, it never was my strong suit. Also things will probably get typed as I think them, so coherency could be an issue as well.

Note to self, 2d animation ideas, portfolio ideas... think about them.

Now time to plan ahead.... "For every minute spent in organizing, an hour is earned."
